The Briar Bush uses hundreds of flexible reclaimed PVC cutoffs to form tight shallow-water cover. Its slots, grooves and varied edges create small openings where fry, minnows and other forage fish can shelter while algae, periphyton and small aquatic organisms develop across the textured surfaces.

The deliberately snaggy material is best placed under docks, behind boat lifts, near spawning areas, in hatcheries or anywhere fishing lures will not pass through it. Bend the limbs by hand, then place the self-weighted unit without a separate anchor or ballast. Light gloves are recommended while shaping the cut material.
