Rigid reclaimed PVC stakes for crappie beds

This 50-pound pack contains more than 200 mostly rigid PVC stakes for building vertical freshwater cover. The pieces average 45–48 inches long and about 3 inches wide.

Install the stakes in your own cement-filled buckets, blocks, barrels or suitable mat. They can also be driven into an appropriate lake bottom where permitted. Keep most pieces vertical for stake-bed cover and vary spacing to balance concealment with open travel lanes.

Choose this kit when you want to control the spacing and arrangement of a vertical crappie bed. It supplies the reclaimed PVC stakes; you provide the bases or mats, ballast and assembly work. The twin-pack name refers to material for two example mats, rather than two finished weighted structures.

Decide whether your project needs two broader beds or several smaller groups before dividing the material. Check bottom conditions, normal water depth and low-water access, then leave room around each group for fishing and movement. Confirm permission before placing habitat in shared or public water.
