Fine reclaimed PVC for dense DIY fish cover

This 20-pound box contains Fishiding's fine, flexible Cradle Hair material for building or filling homemade fish cribs, stake beds, barrel structures and other freshwater habitat. The narrow strands create tight spaces where fry, forage fish, aquatic insects and other small organisms can shelter and feed.

Set small bundles into cement inside a stable base container, or combine the fine strands with wider and more rigid Fishiding material to create several levels of density. A pound or more can form a substantial burst of shallow cover; spacing and quantity should match the base, water depth and desired footprint.

This is loose DIY material, not a completed weighted habitat unit. The builder supplies and installs the cement or other suitable permanent base. Once placed in a freshwater pond, lake or reservoir, the textured strands provide surface area for algae and periphyton while forming the detailed cover documented in Fishiding's underwater observations.
