The Oasis creates a protected interior where small freshwater fish can shelter beyond the reach of larger predators. Six modular habitat mats join into a strong cage with openings averaging about 1.5 inches square, providing access for fry and forage fish while limiting entry by larger fish.

The Oasis is self-weighted with cement built into Fishiding's patented design. Its broad footprint and low center of gravity keep the finished structure upright without added ballast or an anchor. The sections can be assembled near the placement area, filled with the desired mix of Fishiding cover, and moved from a dock, pontoon, barge or boat deck using suitable equipment.

Use the Oasis in a freshwater pond, lake or reservoir as a concentrated nursery refuge or as the center of a larger habitat complex. Its intricate surfaces support algae and periphyton growth while the enclosed space gives small fish room to feed and develop.
