The Cradle uses fine, soft reclaimed PVC strands to create compact nursery habitat for young freshwater fish. Its intricate openings give fry, minnows, bluegill and other forage species places to shelter while textured surfaces support algae, periphyton and small aquatic organisms used as food.

The Cradle is self-weighted with cement built into Fishiding's patented design. No separate ballast or anchor is needed. Place units near shorelines, spawning areas and other shallow nursery zones, preferably in groups with neighboring branches close enough to form a larger protected complex.

The flexible strands move like submerged grasses and continue providing cover after seasonal aquatic vegetation dies back. Fishiding has documented all freshwater fish species using this dense style of habitat through years of underwater filming.
